Majority of the film personalities who spoke at the Film Technicians Meet ‘Chalachithra Thozhilali Sangamom’ at Sarovaram Hotel, Kochy, stressed the need of democracy in the running of a federation like MACTA.

Most of them lavished criticisms on the autocratic stands taken by Vinayan in the associated issues. Megastar Mammootty made it clear that even if Mohanlal makes animated comments on any issue relating to cinema, the entire industry is ready to back him. Mohanlal on the other hand, maintained that the formation of a new democratic forum for technicians, will be the climax of the purification processes in the Mollywood film Industry.

The new federation will make it a resolution that at no point, the shoot of any movies in Malayalam will get affected by any bans or associated decisions and no one in the industry will be blacklisted. K B Ganesh Kumar announced that he had earlier spoken with the State cultural minister, who had offered all support to the new federation from the government.

The grand meeting is still continuing at Kochy and everyone expects the announcement of the new federation, which will have the full support of AMMA, the artists association and the producers association, by the evening.
